Natasha McKean – Partner
Natasha McKean is our Cumbernauld Partner and Notary Public in our Private Client department.
Natasha acts for clients at all stages of their lives on a wide range of private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Guardianship Orders, Trusts, tax and succession planning, and the administration of estates. Natasha also has residential conveyancing experience.
Natasha joined Barton & Hendry as a trainee in 2018 and became Partner in 2023. She is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde obtaining her LLB Law and Diploma in Legal Practice.
Sophie Baldasarra - Solicitor
Sophie began working at the firm in January 2023 after obtaining her LLB from Dundee University and then her Post-Graduate Dipolma in Professional Legal Practice at Strathclyde University.
She is one of our general solicitors practising in our residential conveyancing, commercial conveyancing and private client departments. Sophie works between both our Cumbernauld and Stirling offices. Sophie is also a Notary Public.
Outside of work, Sophie loves to travel with her husband, take long walks with her dog Pablo, spend time with her family and catch up with the girls over a cocktail.
Suzanne Molloy - Conveyancing Paralegal
Suzanne joined the firm in 1990 and was a Secretary in our Court Department for 9 years before transitioning over to our Conveyancing Department where she has remained since. She studied at Strathclyde University to gain her Paralegal and Advanced Paralegal Certificates in Residential Conveyancing. Suzanne deals with all aspects of house purchase, sales, transfer of title, re-mortgages and discharges.
Outside of work Suzanne loves spending time with her family. She enjoys socialising with friends and watching football.
Laura Scott – Conveyancing Paralegal
Laura is a skilled and dedicated paralegal with 20 years’ experience in residential conveyancing. Laura is a proud graduated of the University of Strathclyde, where she earned her qualification as a Paralegal.
Laura's organisational skills are essential in ensuring your conveyancing is handled smoothly and deadlines are met. Clients appreciate Laura's friendly and empathetic approach.
Outside of work Laura loves to walk with her Cavapoo and spend time with friends
Michelle Donaghy – Guardianship and Private Client Paralegal
Michelle has worked in Barton & Hendry for over thirty years and a graduate from University of Strathclyde.
Michelle is our Paralegal in the private client department dealing mainly with Guardianships. Michelle works closely and provides assistance to our Partner, Natasha McKean.
Sarah Hunter – Paralegal
Sarah joined Barton & Hendry in March 2022. Sarah is a qualified family law paralegal and has also dealt with a range of conveyancing matters. Her roles have varied over her course at the firm and given the recent restructure of the firm Sarah now primarily provides support to the senior partner of the firm.
Out of work Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Heather Barton – Estate Agent
Heather is the wife of our Senior Partner and has run our Estate Agency Department for over 20 years. Heather has extensive experience of the property market and maintains close contact with our conveyancers to get the best understanding of your property and your marketing needs. Heather can market your property on several websites to ensure the widest exposure and get the best price for you.
Heather will be happy to discuss our range of services with you and can provide details of our costs.
Outside of the office Heather also tries to keep fit and enjoys walking and the gym. She is also an avid reader and enjoys the company of family and friends.
Siobhan McCallum - Head Cashier
Siobhan has over 30 years’ experience in various finance roles, however, after her first initial role as Cashier, she knew that she enjoyed being a law accountant the most. Siobhan qualified as a Scottish Law Accountant back in 2000’s and since then had gone onto achieve a BA Hons in Accountancy and holds a post graduate in Further Education. Despite Siobhan’s qualifications, she finds herself drawn back into Law Accountancy and is passionate about her role.
Outside of work, Siobhan is a novice in DIY with a love of restoring furniture by giving a new lease of life to pre-loved items. Siobhan also dabbles in dress making but could never call herself a seamstress! Siobhan biggest love is socialising with family and friends.
Linda Smith – Cashier
Linda joined the Firm having previously worked in a busy Glasgow Law Office. Linda is based in our Cumbernauld office and assists with the running of the cash department.
Holly Ambrose – Legal Assistant
Holly has been with the firm since 2022 providing reception and administrative support to the whole office.
Holly is currently studying for her Conveyancing Paralegal Certificate through the University of Law. Whilst studying, Holly has been working alongside our conveyancing team picking up practical experience which will assist with her studies.
Lorraine Young – Legal Secretary
Lorraine has worked at Barton & Hendry for over 35 years and is our Secretary to the Senior Partner of the firm, Mr. Eric Barton.
Lorraine works within in the Conveyancing and Private Client Departments of the firm providing assistance to the other Solicitors and Paralegals in the firm.
